Charles Curtis:
A Vice Presidential Unit

Charles Curtis was the Thirty-first vice president of the United States of America. Born January 25, 1860 in Topeka Kansas and passed away February 8, 1936. His vice presidential term lasted from 1929-1933 serving under Herbert Hoover. Charles Curtis a vice president, senator from Kansas, and Senate Majority leader was a unique individual that had ethnic roots that were deeply intertwined with American Indians ancestry. Charles Curtis at a young age lived with his grandparents on an actual Indian reservation known as Kaw. Charles Curtis’s early teenage and adulthood were not out of the ordinary however, he studied law and went to college as well as passed the bar exam with what some say ease. He served as a prosecuting attorney from 1885 to 1889. During his career he won many cases as well as multiple terms for his district in Topeka, Kansas. In 1892 he joined with the US House of Representatives as a Republican, and was elected to US senate in 1906. He was elected multiple times to continue to stay on board, until 1928, when he had a change of paths and had decided to move up his political ranks to vice president under Herbert Hoover. The victory was won with ease many say, and the political term was rocky, as the great depression made many individuals quite skeptical of the way the country was being run, their landslide was put to a halt next election when they lost to Franklin D. Roosevelt. After his political stage, he continued doing law until 1936 when he passed away due to a heart attack.
